Alexandros Karozas was born in Katerini, at the foot of Mount Olympus in Greece. He had to leave this wonderful nature with seven years stowards Germany. The impressions of his native flowed significantly in his music of his first LP "Odysseus of the North", but also his next CDs, "Homage to Cavafy", "The Dream of Icarus" and "Opus Xenon", bear witness to the desire to bring modern and traditional elements, inspiration and structure in accordance. Karozas produced several operas and symphonic works by Mikis Theodorakis, the double-CD "Cavafy" from the Vienna Konzerthaus with George Dalaras, a "Cavafy" CD with the actor Bruno Ganz and many other records. His most important work as a composer is music to the poems of the Greek poet Constantine Cavafy.
